Tattooing

In the state of Georgia you must be 18----no exceptions. We are very safety minded here. Although not required by law, we conform to OSHA guidelines, Red Cross First Aid and Safety along with CPR for Adult and Children. We additionally conform to the requirements of the Alliance of Professional Tattooists and the National Tattoo Association. We continue to further the education of our artists in safety and technical application by attending seminars and classes at various conventions and trade related events. Be assured your tattoo will be done with the most current safety procedures and in a style of your choice.

Choosing Your Tattoo

There is no time limit for choosing a design. We have a comfortable waiting area where you can browse through numerous designs and reference books. We have the largest design selection in the area, and can work from your art, for that custom tattoo. Although the artists may be occupied, they will be happy to speak to you in between clients. And if more time is needed an appointment for a consultation can be made with your chosen artist. The receptionists are very knowledgeable and will be able to answer most questions when an artist is not available.

Cost of your Tattoo

Although cost is inevitably a question, it is not wise to let this dictate your choice of design. It must be thought of in context, after all how many other purchases do you make that will be with you for the rest of your life. It always amazes me that some people will spend hundreds of dollars on a single outfit of clothing, or a pair of shoes, but balk about the cost of a lifelong treasure, on the most precious of organs their skin. All that aside the shop minimum is 50.

Making an appointment(not always necessary)

Once your dream design has been chosen or created, it is time for a bit of restraint and patience. It is not always possible that you will be able to have it done right then, a small deposit may be required to hold your appointed time. Although this is non-refundable it is deductible from your finished piece. Your appointment may be changed given enough notice or if for some reason out of your control you cannot keep it. You will be expected to arrive in plenty of time to keep it a quarter of an hour in advance is sufficient.

Getting Tattooed

It is important to realize a few things before you get yourself inked. The process although not excruciating is none the less sometimes uncomfortable. The act of getting tattooed is a two way street and artist and client must cooperate very closely to achieve the best results. Listen carefully to the artists advice, they are very experienced and have a lot to offer over and above their artistic talents. Distractions such as friends are usually unhelpful as they will not be with you in the chair and from the waiting area will not be able to empathize with your feelings and may even undermine your confidence, which can play a large part in how you handle the process. Your friends are welcome as long as they do not disturb the artist while working. Also taking any drugs including alcohol are more likely to distort your perception of pain and reduce your ability to communicate with your artist which as we have already said is of paramount importance. Alcohol thins the blood and we will not tattoo you if you've been drinking. Try to arrive in a relaxed frame of mind, make sure you don't have to rush from and back to work or school. The tattoo you are about to receive will be with you to the grave and is worth giving up a couple of hours for. Also have a good meal a couple of hours before your appointment and arrive in plenty of time. The artists see it as part of their job to put you at ease, if you feel uncomfortable about something let them know. It is in their interest too for you to be in a good frame of mind and will facilitate the process for you both.

Tattoo Aftercare

Do not remove dressing for at least an hour or as recommended by your artist. Wash daily with mild soap, pat dry with a clean towel and apply Ointment 2 or 3 times a day. Do not pick or scratch scabs, do not swim, sunbath or soak the tattooed area, as this will affect the color and intensity of your healed tattoo. For additional information check our FAQ's
